After being promised 50 Million shillings each to complete various development projects in their constituencies, ODM rebel MPs were handed Sh. 100,00 each by State House, with a pledge of the government initiating various development projects in their constituencies to raise the truant MPs’ political profiles.

This move has rattled a section of the legislators given the huge political risk they took to be seen at State House.

According to reports, one of the lawmakers in the group that visited the president revealed how some of them had tried to stop being photographed after the meeting in protest over the small handout they were given but they were later told that good things will soon come their way.

The MPs include Phelix Oduor (Lang’ata), Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem) Paul Abuor (Rongo), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Gideon Ochanda (Bondo) and Prof Tom Ojienda (Senator, Kisumu County.)
