President William Ruto visited Tharaka Nithi County on July 25, 2024, where he commissioned several projects aimed at enhancing local infrastructure and services.
Key projects included the Kibung’a Kakimiki Water Project in Marimanti, set to serve over 30,000 residents, the Marimanti Kenya Medical Training College, and the Huduma Centre in Marimanti.
Additionally, he launched a KSh500 million last mile electricity connectivity project and commissioned the County Commissioner’s office and Huduma Centre in Kathwana.
The visit was part of the government’s broader economic transformation agenda, with Ruto accompanied by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki, and other leaders.
