Juja parliamentary aspirant George Kiomburi missing since Saturday after police summon

Juja Parliamentary aspirant for the May 19th by-election George Kiomburi is missing since Saturday, after he was summoned by the DCI, Muranga Senator Irungu Kangata has revealed. Kiomburi is running for the seat on a People’s Empowerment Party ticket, an outfit led by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, and is leaning towards the DP.

”It is the work of the police to look for Mr Koimburi. We want to know where Mr Koimburi is. He is being harrased. Arrested left right and center. We wish to tell the government that you can arrest as many William Ruto’s supporters as possible. But we shall not waiver from the cause,” Senator Kangata said.

Kiomburi, according to Senator Kangata’s revelation was arrested together with his wife whom the police released after Juja residents raised an alarm.

”She was only released after the people in Juja raised alarm. It is unfair the way Mr Kiomboru is being treated just because he is vying on a ticket associated to DP William Ruto,” he added.

On Tuesday, People’s Empowerment Party leader Moses Kuria was slapped with a Ksh 75,000 fine after being charged of flouting Covid-19 rules, together with 10 others. or serves 8 months in prison.


The Gatundu MP was arrested in a night raid conducted on the evening of Monday, April 12, 2021.
