Political Scientist Professor Mutahi Ngunyi has questioned DPP Noordin Haji’s allegations that former DCI Boss George Kinoti used forged documents to press charges against a number of leaders and whether the DPP was being manipulated by outside forces to drop the cases.
In a Monday tweet, Prof Ngunyi says the DPP has many contradictions and wondered how he (Haji) had verified that the documents his office received from the Department of Criminal Investigations were forged.
Noordin Haji on Sunday, October 30, in an interview with KTN News disclosed he was forced to review some of the cases, including that of Rigathi Gachagua.
”On Deputy President Gachagua’s charges, the decision was made on the threshold. We were pushed by DCI himself through the media. We felt there was sufficient evidence to charge but later we discovered the documents were forged,” said Haji.
