Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Ford-Kenya’s Senator Moses Wetangula have devised a new plot to make sure ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi does not get One Kenya Alliance’s 2022 ticket to run for the country’s top seat. In a new twist, allies of Kalonzo Musyoka and his counterpart Moses Wetangula are said to be working in a secret pact within the alliance, with eyes on a scenario where Mr. Musyoka guns for the top-seat with deputised by Senator Wetangula.
This new development within OKA is informed by last week’s decision by Kamba legislators coalescing around the Wiper leader to insist he runs for the presidency in 2022 after he (Kalonzo) decided to settle for the PM’s post. According to Kangundo MP Fabian Multi, the Ukambani region can only develop if one of their own in power and they will have nothing to do with OKA if it does not give Mr. Musyoka the presidential ticket.
”Who wants to be left out when regions are being developed? As it stands, we will also insist that Kalonzo goes for the top seat, we are not taking anything less,” the MP was quoted on a local daily on Monday.
The One Kenya Alliance (OKA) comprises ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) and Gideon Moi (KANU).
On the other hand, there is growing suspicion among OKA members, with some claiming Baringo Senator Gideon Moi is Raila Odinga’s inside man, who will join the ODM leader at the opportune time. A confidential source reveal Raila Odinga’s meeting with Senator Moi at his Kisumu home on Madaraka Day did not go down well with OKA pricipals who are now begining to question the KANU Chairman’s role in their outfit.
