Younger Aspirants Crowd Migori Senatorial Race

1 min read

Migori Senate race has attracted more younger aspirants as older politicians shift focus to the gubernatorial race.

This youth trend started with Eddy Gicheru, also known as Eddy Muok, whose bid against Ochillo Ayacko nearly upset ODM Party. Ayacko won with a slim margin and is not defending the seat.

Eddy is said to be the front-runner currently, but with more younger aspirants in the race, the “youth card” which worked for him is now otiose.

New entrants in the race include Willis Misare, an advocate practicing in Nairobi and Victor Okuna, a businessman in Migori. Others are Kenneth Okech Okech and Evans Ogutu.
