Mama Ngina: Confiscate my Wealth and Take me to Court if I have Evaded Tax

1 min read

Mama Ngina Kenyatta, the mother of former president Uhuru Kenyatta has come out to tell off the Kenya Kenya government and politicians dragging her family’s name, claiming they have not been paying taxes.

Speaking on Saturday in Mpeketoni, Mama Ngina said tax issues should not politicized and that any working government has its channels of handling tax issues, not through politicians.

Kwa sababu ukikosa kulipa kodi unapelekwa kortini, hiyo ndio sheria,”she said.

The former First Lady went ahead to ask the Ruto administration to auction her property in order to settle any perceived debt if it is indeed true that the Kenyattas have not been paying her taxes.

“Ukikosa kulipa ile unatakiwa kulipa, lazima vitu vyako vitachukuliwa na kuuzwa. Kwa hivyo hakuna haja…hakuna mambo ya kuwaharibia wengine majina ndio watu wasikike eti wanafanya kazi, wanaendesha nchi, hapana,” she added.

The former First Lady spoke during the opening of the Tewa Catholic Church which she helped build in Mpeketoni, Lamu County.
