Mama Rachel Ruto Donates Sh1 Million to PANY Women Group in Nairobi

Mama Rachel Ruto, the First Lady, has pledged Sh1 million to the Professional Association of Nyanza (PANY) Women during the unveiling of their strategic plan at Serena Hotel in Nairobi. Expressing her admiration for the women’s dedication, Mama Rachel stated, “I would like to support the organization PANY with a small donation because I know you are doing a lot for the women of Nyanza and the women of Kenya.” She encouraged the women to extend their impact beyond Nyanza, urging them to “carry Kenya and carry Africa.”

Highlighting Kenya’s progress in women’s rights, Mama Rachel praised initiatives like the Elimu Tuikakayo Programme and the Girls’ Education Challenge Fund. The President’s ambitious plan to boost the Women Enterprise Fund was also noted, with Mama Rachel emphasizing the importance of increasing women’s access to these resources.

Moreover, Mama Rachel acknowledged the availability of funds like the Hustler Fund and AGPO, designed to empower women and marginalized groups. The PANY Women leadership described their association as a symbol of unity among African women, celebrating their collective efforts.
