Mr. Oduol thinks he is God. He is not even Satan or Obel Sibuth as we know him, so forget about being God. Oduol is going to be a useless Deputy governor for the next four years. His hopes of being the next governor after Orengo are dead and deader. Bye Bye. Now let’s get Siaya County moving.
I first got to know about Oduol as a politician when my great friend Onyango Oloo supported him five years ago first to run as an MP and then as governor.
I know Onyango Oloo (OO) for one thing. He stands up for what he believes in. He doesn’t give a shit about anything else. That is him. He was 19 years old when he was sent to prison after the 1981 coup attempt in Kenya.
The Special Branch Moi Police arrested him in Naivasha when he was going to his home in Mombasa. They found a handwritten letter in his bag entitled “A plea To Comrades”. Oloo had written that letter to us as student leaders. That was to Titus Adongosi, the Students Organization of Nairobi University (SONU} chairman, me as the SG and others.
The SB translated the OO handwritten document as a plea to the soldiers who were trying to overthrow the Moi government on August 1, 1981. They were put in jail for 6 years for that.
I go to jail and I am 3 years older than him. We are in INDA and Kamiti Prison and we are fighting every day.
There is this guy called Martin Ogonya (Doc as we called him). So we are in police custody after the 1981 coup attempt. Mart who was a medical student and ends up in the Langata army barracks hostage point. I was at Muthangari Police Station. Then Mart finds out they have medical stuff at his place in Langata that can knock you out. Mart carries the meds to Turkorman Carpet House, the Investigation and Torture center near the University of Nairobi campus.
So they are torturing Mart and then he takes the meds and passes out and the SB torturers are scared to death. They revive him and immediately release him.
I later on met Mart as a big-time doctor at Mombasa Hospital where he was spectacular. Thanks Mart.

So when OO told me he is with William Oduol I said fine. That was five years ago. Now Oduol is screwed up with his chair.
Nobody cares. He can sit on it. But Siaya needs to move on.
