The Department of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has issued a summon to lawyer Danstan Omari to appear at its Mazingira House headquarters along Kiambu Road in Nairobi on Wednesday morning over the raid at Former CS Fred Matiang’i’s home.
According to the summon seen by this publication, Lawyer Omaru is to appear at DCI Kiambu road before police senior superintendent Michael Sang at 9.30 am without fail, and failure by the lawyer to comply with the requisition, the DCI says constitutes an offense liable to prosecution.
“I can confirm to every Kenyan in this country that the life of Matiang’i is at risk. We don’t know the intention of wanting to invade Matiang’i’s home at this time of the night. We don’t know why they want to arrest him and where they want to take him,” Danstan Omari said two weeks ago at Dr. Matiangi’s Karen residence.
