George Natembeya, a former Rift Valley regional commissioner will be vying for the Transzoia gubernatorial seat using the newly formed Democratic Alliance Party of Kenya (DAP-Kenya) associated with Eugene Wamalwa.

The new party, led by Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi has hugely benefited from the degeneration of Ford-Kenya after the lion’s party was rocked by leadership wrangles between two factions one led by Moses Wetangula and the other by Wafula Wamunyinyi.

George Natembeya will face off with Ford-Kenya’s Chris Wamalwa in August.
