There’s no much difference between James Orengo and Rigathi Gachagua when it comes to development of/in Luo Nyanza.
Orengo hates development of Luo Nyanza because it denies him the grievances he desperately need to keep telling Luos how they are neglected by the government of the day. The fact that President Ruto is doing a radical transformation and development of critical infrastructure in the Luo homeland is something Orengo cannot and will not admit.
To Orengo, the Luo must remain the agitators we have been in the entire period Orengo has been alive and feeding off Luo misery, disease and want.
Orengo’s children cannot speak proper Luo language, just as the children of most of the Luo political class. They were not raised in environments where they interacted with the “language”.
Orengo himself comes to Luo Nyanza as a tourist; mostly attending funerals or campaigns. In between elections, he’s as rare in Luo Nyanza as it can get.
Gachagua, on the other hand, hates development of Luo Nyanza because he’s an oathed primitive tribalist who believe development should be according to shares and shares are according to the votes one delivered in the preceding election.
To Gachagua, Luo Nyanza delivered no votes to President Ruto and therefore had no shares. President Ruto should have left it entirely out of his development agenda.
The impeachment of Gachagua ended his idiotic view of national development. He’s trying to return but the 2010 constitution is the tight rope we used to hang him dry.
The only way Gachagua returns to political circulation is if he bribes the judiciary enough to declare his impeachment null. The other way is to strike an MoU with Kalonzo/Sifuna to hold a referendum that clears him and allows him to return to politics — essentially, a referendum to remove “gross tribalism” as a political crime.
Orengo belongs to the generation of Luo leaders who learnt to deliberately sabotage development coming to their own people to keep them poor, sad and gullible; so that they keep re-electing Orengo when he yaps to them how they are a neglected, discriminated against and oppressed.
Orengo will not have a problem representing you in court when charged with agitation.
What he won’t do is to do the kind of politics which makes agitation unnecessary.
Gachagua as a primitive tribalist will not form a coalition with Orengo eventhough both are in the so called ‘wantam’ movement. This is because the end goal of the primitive tribalist is different from the end goal of the faux nationalist.
National development must be equitable. President Ruto has made it difficult for these fakes masquerading as our leaders to con the people.
Orengo’s unbridled conmanship will not be jerked by the state’s discriminatory tendencies because under President Ruto, there is no discrimination.
Gachagua’s crass entitlement and toxic, primitive tribalism is suffering because under President Ruto, there are no favorites—no ethnic community, including President Ruto’s own Kalenjin people — is lording it over the rest.
With President Ruto, we have a chance of producing a truly equal, equitably developed and socially egalitarian society.
Defeating Gachagua and leaving Orengo will be a mistake. Both Orengo and Gachagua are unfit to be Kenyan leaders at this time of great leap into the future. Both therefore must be defeated and be consigned to the basement of history.
Sufficient state and no-state resources must be expended in the great patriotic effort to defeat and destroy Gachagua and Orengo, and all their minions.
The Luo and the Kikuyu communities must rid themselves of these two baggages — and let Kenya progress!
KUMI BILA BREAK.
