US President Joe Biden was filmed tripping three times in a row while walking up the stairs of Air Force One. The 78-year-old President of the United States repeatedly lost his footing and stumbled as he boarded the jet from Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland on Friday, bound for Atlanta in Georgia.

Biden did not injure himself, and managed to regain his composure to walk up the remainder of the staircase without any apparent injury. He gave a salute to waiting servicemen after making it to the top of the red-carpeted staircase.

A spokeswoman for the president later blamed Biden’s stumble on the wind. White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre blamed the fall on a ‘misstep’ and said Biden was ‘100% fine,’ adding that he did not require medical assistance.

Biden is the oldest president ever to be elected President of the United States, and was repeatedly attacked by his predecessor Donald Trump, 74, as being too old for the role.
