Elgeyo Marakwet Senator and former Majority Leader in the Senate Kipchumba Murkomen has told President Uhuru Kenyatta it will be a mistake of monumental proportion to shortchange Raila Odinga in 2022.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday to weigh in on the rapidly changing political scene, Murkomen, a strong ally of DP Ruto reminded the Head of State to stand by his decision, through BBI to back Raila for the top seat in 2022.

”It will be a mistake of monumental proportion for Uhuru Kenyatta to shortchange Raila Odinga when he knows that Daniel Arap Moi shortchanged Him (Tinga) for his (Uhuru’s) sake. He must stand by his decision through BBI and support Raila in 2022.Hustlers already have their own plan,” Murkomen wrote.

Talk has been rife over President Uhuru Kenyatta’s indirect involvement with the One Kenya Alliance, with claims the Head of State is actively involved trying to prop up the trio, as his replacement when he leaves office next year. One Kenya Alliance comprises Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka and Gideon Moi.

For the last one week, ODM leader has been meeting different leaders at his Karen home, in what is said to be the building of a new political alliance.
