Cyrus Jirong, former Lugari MP and one of the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals is accusing ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi of disowning his biological mother Hannah Mudavadi for political mileage and to impress his newfound buddy, Deputy President William Ruto, and his Kalenjin community.
Speaking on Thursday in Kitui during an OKA rally, also attended by KANU leader Gideon Moi and his Wiper counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka, the former legislator describe Mudavadi’s remarks, introducing himself as the son of late Rosebella Jerono as childish and shameful and not worth the stature of the ANC chief.

“Politics is making you disown your own birth mother, Mama Hannah, to an extent that you begin referring to Rosebella Jerono, your stepmother, as your biological mother. That is childish and shameful!” Jirongo said.
Jirongo went ahead to rebuke Mudavadi over his pact with Ruto describing it not only as a betrayal to the Luhya community but also to the ANC leader’s friends, like President Uhuru Kenyatta who catered for all the funeral expenses when Mudavadi’s biological mother, Hannah Mudavadi, passed on last year.
“We know that sometimes back, Mudavadi’s mother, Hannah, passed away. And the person who financed the whole funeral was President Uhuru and it goes against respect to abuse the person who helped you in your time of need,” Jirongo said.
While dismissing Mudavadi’s attacks on the president and his government and the ANC leader’s promise to resuscitate the dwindling economy, Jirongo fingered Mudavadi for being one of the architects of the Goldenberg scandal which the country lose billions through scandalous deals.

“The economy collapsed in Kenya and it was seen and thought that Jirongo and his team of Youth for KANU 92 were behind it. I have withstood the accusation for 30 years. It is the people associated with Goldenberg that made the economy collapse and one of them is my brother (Mudavadi),” Jirongo said.
