After vowing over the weekend President William Ruto to provide enough security for Opposition leaders at their December 7th rally, the government is said to be plotting a heavy deployment of anti-riot police and the GSU around the CBD as well as the venue of the gathering in Kamkunji.

At a closed-door meeting with his Kenya Kwanza MPs in Nairobi last evening, the president is said to have assured the legislators and his partners in Kenya Kwanza that there will be law and order in the city tomorrow, and on 12th December.

On Sunday during an interdenominational church service at the University of Embu, William Ruto claimed Raila Odinga was hatching a plot to destablise Kenya through anarchy and vowed not to be distracted by the Opposition leader.

“They can plan all they want but I want to promise them that Kenya is not going to remain the same. You will not blackmail this nation. You will not threaten the people of Kenya because we are determined to move the country forward and you will not hold us back,” the president said.

Mr. Odinga, plus his Azimio battalion will have a public engagement with Kenyans tomorrow in Kamukunji.
