Governor Mwangi Wa Iria for Kiharu MP 2022?

Could Muranga Governor Mwangi Wa Iria be joining the growing list of outgoing county chiefs running as MPs?

A little bird whispers to this publication insiders of Wa Iria, also the Usawa Kwa Wote Party leader feel he should go for the Kiharu MP seat in August and join the National Assembly as a party leader the use it to negotiate for a position in the cabinet or in parliament.

Ndindi Nyoro is the current Kiharu MP.

According to the source, Wa Iria is not likely to run for the top seat and will be joining hands with the Azmio la Umoja coalition party.

Two weeks ago in Muranga, Governor Wa Iria condemned the Kenya Kwanza Alliance leaders led by DP William Ruto and Musalia Mudavadi over attacks on President Uhuru Kenyatta and urged them to respect the Head of State who is the Agikuyu kingpin.

”I personally do not care about UDA and ANC’s coalition. That is politics and is allowed but let them keep off Uhuru in their politics. Whether or not he has performed, we will not allow you to mudsling him and then come to our region and expect us to clap for you. He is still the leader of our community,” Wa Iria added.
