Nairobi businessman and politician Stanley Livondo has sensationally claimed attempts have been made twice on President Uhuru’s life after someone senior in government tried to bring down the Head of State’s plane.
”Rais alikua anatoka Kisumu. Ya kwanza. Rais alikua anenda Amerika through Dubai, ndege ikarudishwa Kenya. Alikua anataka kuangushwa chini,” Livondo said while warning Mt Kenya residents from being divided or else face its consequences for the next 50 years.

In April 2015, impeccable aviation sources and sources close to the military intimated that Uhuru’s plane was forced to turn back to the country mid-air due to a mechanical hitch.
The flight engineer is understood to have stood his ground that the journey could not proceed after he got dissatisfied with the aircraft’s performance en-route to Dubai from where Uhuru was to connect a commercial flight to the US.
In 2018, President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga breached protocol and delayed the former’s flight by more than four hours as they toured Kisumu.
In a surprise decision that apparently caught his security and protocol officers by surprise, Uhuru changed his mind about boarding his jet at the Kisumu International Airport at the eleventh hour and instead accompanied Raila in a tour of Kisumu town.
