Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua has sensationally claimed the Azimio la Umoja Coalition party has settled on Muhoho Kenyatta, younger brother to President Uhuru Kenyatta as the best fit for the running mate position.
Speaking in Kajiado county at a Kenya Kwanza rally, the UDA legislator alleged this new move to have Muhoho join elective politics is planned by Raila Odinga and the president so that political dynasties can continue being at the helm.
”Dynasty politics is at play and we are privy to information that Raila wants to pick Uhuru’s brother as his running mate.
”Ata iko wengine wametuambia leo asubuhi ati wanataka huyu Rais wetu Uhuru Kenyatta ateuwe ndugu yake Muhoho Kenyatta akuwe naibu wa Raila Odinga (Some people have told us this morning that they want our President Uhuru Kenyatta to appoint his brother Muhoho Kenyatta as Raila Odinga’s deputy),” he said.

“The only shortcoming our rivals attribute to Ruto is that he is a son of a peasant and his family is not well known. I want to remind our opponents that voters are not famous but they have the power of making Ruto the president at the ballot,” he added.
Despite the Mathira MP’s claim, Muhoho Kenyatta’s name is not among those proposed to Odinga for the running mate slot. Some of the prominent individuals in the list are CS Peter Munya, former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua and Business executive James Mwangi.
