There is an unprecedented panic inside Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) camp following revelations a number of Mt Kenya legislators who had jumped ship to the wheelbarrow party are back to Uhuru Kenyatta’s fold and have considered defending their seats on the ruling party’s ticket.
A source from the Hustler Center in Nairobi confides to this publication President Kenyatta’s move to flex his formidable financial war chest in his backyard has left the Ruto camp struggling to keep MPs from Mt Kenya who want campaign resources from the president.
A number of the legislators are also afraid of a direct confrontation with Uhuru Kenyatta.

Last week, Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju hinted some MPs who had jumped ship to UDA will be returning to the fold during the party’s national delegates conference to be held in Nairobi on the 25th and 26th of this month.
”Some of those who have been declaring allegiance elsewhere are also planning to come back. You saw Wangui Ngirichi (Kirinyaga Woman Rep) at State House and there are a few more expected to come back,” Tuju said.

This publication gathers Githunguri MP Gabriel Kago, Thika Town MP Wainaina Jungle, and five vocal Mt Kenya MPs from Nakuru, Muranga, and Nyeri counties will jump ship from UDA during the highly anticipated NDC.
