Defection? MP Moses Kuria to attend Raila Odinga’s Kibra rally

1 min read

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria says he will be attending ODM leader Raila Odinga’s planned rally in Kibra. In a Facebook post on Saturday, the legislator caused an online stir by confirming he is headed to Kamkunji grounds, where Mr. Odinga is expected to hold a political rally this afternoon.

MP Kuria’s announcement has come as a surprise to many Kenyans, given his close relationship with Deputy President William Ruto. The ODM batallion has called for a political rally at the famous Kamukunji grounds to deliberate on the status of the Handshake and the BBI constitutional process.

This comes just a day after Siaya Senator and Senate Majority Whip James Orengo claimed there were top civil servants who were meddling in the country’s political affairs, including the BBI.

“I want to warn some top civil servants paid by taxpayers’ money to stop meddling in the country’s political leadership,” he said in Ugenya, Siaya County yesterday.
