Senator Moi, Governor Korane endorse the late Yusuf Haji’s son, Abdul Yusuf for Garissa Senatorial seat

Governor Ali Korane of Garissa and KANU leader Gideon Moi have endorsed Yusuf Abdi, the son of late Yusuf Haji, to be the next Garissa Senator.

The two leaders were attending a fundraiser in the county where a total of Sh 7.5million was raised to built madrasas.

The endorsement of Abdul Haji to succeed his father came after the Haji family settled on him as the most suitable to lead and take over from his father, Yusuf Haji, who passed away last month.

The two leaders have appealed to the residents of Garissa to fully support Abdul Yusuf to finish his late father’s remaining term before 2022.

The leaders present were Senate Majority leader Hon Samuel Poghisio, Fafi MP Hon Abdikarim Osman, and Lagdera MP Hon Mohamed Hire. Others were Tiaty MP Hon William Kamket and the Garissa County assembly minority leader Hon Mohamed Ali.
