Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya has urged the residents of Mt Kenya region to rally behind Narck-Kenya leader Martha Karua, the Azimio Coalition running mate as she seeks to become Kenya’s first woman deputy president with Raila Odinga as President.
Speaking in Nyandarua county on Thursday where she accompanied Ms Karua on a campaign tour, the Agriculture CS warned the region voting for UDA was akin to signing themselves to the opposition trenches, a mistake Mt Kenya voters must not do.

”Voting for the other side is taking us to the opposition. You know what our people went through for twenty-four years under Moi. The person some of you want to elect was Moi’s student. He has his throne, not Gideon,” he said.
”Let us stay in government and support Raila Amolo Odinga who has chosen our heroine, Martha Karua as his runningmate. We have an opportunity as a region to produce the first woman deputy president,” CS Munya added.
Karua is in Nyandarua county drumming support for Azimio Coalition and its candidate Raila Odinga.
