Tim Weah puts Africa in the World Cup playing for the USA

2 mins read

What a day for the young man. This was Weah’s first big game for the USA and he delivered something amazing in the first half getting a pass and giving the Wales goalkeeper no chance.

His father now the president of Liberia must have been very proud of the 22-year-old putting his name in the football world in such a prominent way.

The second half of that game was tough for the US and the one and only Gareth Bale, the Ronaldo of Wales got things settled with a penalty to have Wales and the USA tied.

Now the USA team will face England next in their group while Wales faces Iran which was beaten up badly by England.

But Bale saved Wales big time today. They go beat Iran and let the USA battle it out with England and they are fine.

And how about the other African at the World Cup playing for England? His name is Bukayo Saka. Keep that name in your register of football because you are going to see it for the next 20 years.

Bukayo is a difficult guy to guard. All the left-backs just can’t handle him. They either give up corners or they foul him. He is a nightmare to every defender. And then he has that funny smiling face that annoys the defenders. He is going places.

And don’t forget Valencia who helped Ecuador beat Qatar at home by scoring two goals. Game on.
