Former KNUT Secretary General Wilson Sossion over the weekend hosted elders at his Silibwet home in Bomet, where he gave a hint of dumping the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA). Sossion, a nominated ODM legislator had two weeks ago denied he had plans of leaving Raila and was loyal to the orange party.

While formally announcing his Bomet senatorial candidature this morning on Kass TV, the former KNUT Secretary-General said his decision to jump ship was informed by the fact that ODM was not popular in his county.

”The line between unionism and public politics is thin. This is the very reason I shift my guns and now will focus on being the next voice of Bomet county in the senate. The people of Bomet need to heard and served with diligence and I will be in UDA for this,” Sossion said.

Last evening, the ODM nominated legislator revealed he was advised by elders to back William Ruto for the presidency and nobody else.

”The elders have advised me to stick on the prize and avoid backing any politician but to support the Deputy President William Ruto in his 2022 presidential bid as well as popularizing the newly formed party UDA,” he wrote.
