Sharp division rocks Tanga Tanga over Kiagu ward by-election

Moses Kuria has vowed to go toe to toe with Deputy President William Ruto in the Kiagu ward by-election, after attempts to have the Gatundu South legislator withdraw his Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) candidate from the race hit a brick wall.

According to multiple reports within Tanga Tanga, MPs Kimani Ichungwa, Rigathi Gachagua, and Ndindi Nyoro have been unleashed by Ruto to ensure Moses Kuria is contained in Mt Kenya.

Yesterday while accompanying his Chama Cha Kazi candidate Milton Mwendwa to submit his papers to the IEBC, Moses Kuria who stormed the ward in style, accompanied by supporters fired a warning shot to Ruto and his UDA party, telling the DP not to treat his CCK party with contempt.

” We are a sister party with UDA. We are all in the hustler nation and you should stop treating some children differently from others,” the CCK leader said.

Speaking last week, Ruto insisted the UDA candidate was the hustler nation candidate and any other party was to be treated as an opponent, including those of leaders allied to his 2022 presidential bid.

”We undertake to combine our efforts with Meru politicians and grassroots leaders, and rally behind the Hustler candidate Simon Kiambi Ngaruni in the forthcoming by-election,” the DP said.
