IEBC CEO Marjan Ordered to Reinstate Deputy Sacked over Cherera Four

Employment and Labour Court Judge Linet Ndolo has ordered IEBC boss Hussein Marjan to reinstate his deputy Ruth Kulundu after being wrongfully dismissed by the IEBC CEO over claims of assisting Cherera Four commissioners who rejected the outcome of the 2022 Presidential elections.

Kulundu was suspended from office in September last year by  Hussein Marjan who accused her of gross misconduct, insubordination, and participation in illegal activities.

The IEBC CEO alleged his deputy impersonated and arranged an illegal commission plenary meeting, during which four commissioners who disputed the 2022 presidential election results picked law firms that would represent the commission in the presidential election petition filed by Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
