President William Ruto has responded to Raila Odinga’s calls to have the country’s electoral body, the IEBC, open its servers for scrutiny by members of the public.

Speaking on Thursday during the official opening of the Border Police Hospital in Kitui County, the president noted that the servers were accessible during the entire process of the election from the registration of voters to the dismissal of Mr. Odinga’s petition at the Supreme Court that challenged his victory.

”It is necessary for our friends to know that the servers were opened when we all went to the polling stations. Demanding servers be opened now is taking us for granted. It is to believe that there are fools in Kenya. I want to tell our friends that the servers have always been open,” President Ruto said.

Raila Odinga on Wednesday at the Jivanjee Gardens, during the Azimio brigade’s anti-government rally, asked IEBC to open the servers and clear the air on the transparency of the August 9, 2022 Election.
