President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to tell the country his preferred successor on November 30th at the Jubilee Party National Delegates Conference set to be held in Nairobi on November 30th, on a day he will also officially sign a pre-election coalition pact with Raila Odinga’s ODM.
According to reports from the ruling party’s Pangani Headquarters, ODM leader Raila Odinga is expected to be among the invited guests at the convention. Others are Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Baringo senator, and ANC boss Musalia Mudavadi.
Apart from giving the ruling party 2022 political direction, President Uhuru Kenyatta and the party’s delegates are expected to ratify a decision by the National Management Committee (NMC) to remove William Ruto as the deputy party leader.
Speaking last week, Jubilee Coalition Joint Parliamentary Group Secretary Adan Keynan disclosed they will crack the whip on UDA and restore order in Jubilee.
”Civility is not cowardice, but our patience has now run out. The saboteurs that have been sitting on the fence, giving us unwarranted lectures must now know their time is up, irrespective of their stature or political positions,” said Keynan.
It is expected President Uhuru Kenyatta will for the first time publicly appeal to the opposition to unite and go into 2022 under a single alliance.
