Kenyatta, Odinga in Addis as 2022 politics gain momentum

President Uhuru Kenyatta and AU Infrastructure Envoy Hon Raila Odinga are currently in Addis-Ababa Ethiopia where the two leaders are attending the 35th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union.

President Kenyatta’s meeting with Mr. Odinga is hot on the heels of a Jubilee PG at State House in Nairobi where the Head of State promised to wage an aggressive Jubilee party grassroots campaigns, which will include rebranding the ruling outfit, recruiting new members, coalition-building as well as the party’s nominations ahead of the 2022 general elections.

On the other hand, Raila has been on a trans-county campaign blitz with his last engagement being Kajiado last week Thursday. The Azimio Movement leader is on a ten-day trip abroad, as his compatriots in the Azimio coalition continue with the campaigns in their respective counties.

Later in the month, on 25 and 26th President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party and Raila Odinga’s ODM will hold their respective National Delegates Conferences in Nairobi, thereafter hold a joint mega rally in the city, attended by both Uhuru and Raila to officially kick off the two leaders’ joint national tours.
