Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo on Thursday night revealed he had a meeting with ODM leader Raila on Monday before the ODM leader was diagnosed with Covid. In a tweet on Thursday night, Kabogo revealed the secret meeting with Raila Odinga took place at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation along Kiambere Road.
”I met Baba on Monday 8th March 2021 at 11:10am at his Jaramogi foundation office. Will test kesho. Get well soon my friend. In God we trust,” the former Kiambu Governor tweeted.
A day earlier, the former Kiambu governor held a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta, who drove to Kabogo’s Iguta Paradise. Speaking to the Standard, Kabogo explained his meeting with President Kenyatta was all about Uhuru’s successor in Mt Kenya.
”People want to believe that we do not have a successor. We have it covered. I am saying ‘we’ because I am one of them. We are many leaders. The only difference is that we are not politicising it because it is now time for President Uhuru to do his work. We are only strategising.
“The meeting we had can actually produce a very able leader, someone who has been elected by the people and not selected in a boardroom,” he said.
