Junet: ODM has no problem with Senator Moi BBI campaigning for BBI

BBI Secretariat Co-chiar Junet Mohammed says the ODM Party has no problem with KANU leader Gideon Moi campaigning for the BBI. Speaking on Wednesday night at Citizen TV, the Suna East legislator said they were a team and any leader was welcome to drum up support for the document across the republic.

”We are a team of like minded leaders who have decided come together to advance this agenda of BBI. From KANU, ANC, ODM, Jubilee,” the Minority leader in the National Assembly said.

Junet was responding to Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa who alleged divisions have rocked the Handshake, over who should head the BBI campaigns. MP Ichungwa said there is disquiet in ODM after President Uhuru made Senator Gideon Moi the defacto leader of the BBI, sidelining Raila Odinga.

”Whoever goes ahead to campaign for this document is welcome. Whether he is the leader KANU, Wiper, it does not matter. The Senator is a party leader of KANU,” Junet added.

There have been reports of senior officials from Harambee House trying to sideline Raila Odinga and in his place have Gideon Moi and Musalia Mudavadi spearhead the BBI process. Plotters of this scheme, according to the reports, want to use the BBI momentum to front a Mudavadi-Moi ticket for 2022.
