Forced into retirement after William Ruto took over as President, long-serving career civil servant, and former Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua has been recalled by the Head of State to be a technical advisor at State House and will help the new government on issues of Public Service.

Dr. Kinyua exited office in October 2022 after 44 years of service.

According to reports, the Uhuru-era Head of Public Service has been invited by State House to help guide Felix Koskei, the current Chief of Staff plus Head of Public service so that things can seamlessly move in government in terms of administration.

”Insiders intimate that many things had gone south, triggering anger from the topmost boss who made the call,” a report notes.

Kinyua has had to come out of retirement after being offered a handsome reward to help solve the current crisis in government.

Felix Koskei took over as the new Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service in new appointments made by President William Ruto on Friday, October 14.

He is deputised by former Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok, who was serving as the Director-General of William Ruto’s presidential campaigns.
