Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho says ODM gubernatorial candidate Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir is the only leader who has what it takes to unite the people of Mombasa and with the ability to build on the work he has done while at the helm since 2013.
Speaking on Monday outside the Governor’s House in Mombasa, Governor Joho also affirmed the county was the orange party base and called on residents to vote ODM candidates all the way from MCA to the Presidency.
”Baada ya kupigiwa kura mwaka wa 2017, nikaanza kupima ni nani katika hawa viongozi ataweza kuungunashia watu wa Mombasa? Ni nani katika hawa viongozi ambaye ataendelea kupenda watu wa Mombasa? Ni nani katika hawa viongozi ataweza kubeba watu wa Mombasa? Na mimi nikaweza kusema ya kua gavana ni Abdulswamad Sharrif Nassir,” Governor Joho said.

”Kwa heshima na taadhima, chama changu ni ODM. Nawaomba, ikifika tarehe ya kupiga kura, chama ni ODM. Rais, Raila Amollo Odinga. Governor chama cha ODM. Seneta chama cha ODM. Women Rep chama cha ODM. Mbunge chama cha ODM. MCA chama cha ODM,” the deputy ODM leader added.
The outgoing governor expressed confidence in the Mvita MP whom he says will do even better than what the current administration has done and has vowed to support him even as he (Joho) moves to actively engage in the national politics.
Abdulswamad Sharrif Nassir is the ODM Party candidate for Mombasa governor.
