Rigathi Gachagua is ready to burn the whole country down with his tribalism, but Kenyans are too smart to allow some rabid tribalist facing political death as an impeached Deputy President to turn their country into flames just to make himself happy.
Gachagua’s “Hyena Coalition” is a direct war he wants to launch against Somali Kenyans because he has some petty war against Health CS Adan Duale who made some offensive statements about Kikuyus.
What does Gachagua expect Somali Kenyans to do in response to this war he is launching against them? They are going to come to the polls to vote and that is not bad for the country and it may not be very good for Gachagua himself particularly in Nairobi County, where that Somali vote is all over the city.
In the big news for the opposition, Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has come up with the need for the opposition group to formulate a faction named the ‘Hyena coalition’ to oust President William Ruto from office in the 2027 General Election.
Speaking to a delegation from Nakuru County at his Mathira home in Nyeri, Gachagua borrowed the term from alleged ethnic remarks made by Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale targeting the Kikuyu community.
“I would urge all of those one-term supporters from Mt.Kenya to form a coalition for one-term parties. Na kwa sababu tumetukanwa na Duale, nataka tukubali hio jina. Tunataka tuiite the Hyena coalition,” he said.
“My brother JB (Justin Muturi), convene all of us in Mt.Kenya, we create the hyena coalition ya mafisi wote, ya kukula kasongo, na kumtafuna, na kummeza.”
Gachagua added that Mt Kenya residents supporting President Ruto’s defeat in the 2027 polls should remain united, warning that they can easily be manipulated if they go after each other.
“Fighting people within the one-term movement is not good energy. It is not going to help us. Focus on William Ruto and the people around him. Ignore other noises, do not get distracted,” he added.
“We will not fight our brothers and sisters even if we are provoked and that is what Ruto would want. He can use some of us to start internal wars so that we lose focus on him. We must be very intelligent and strategic.”
Gachagua has maintained a stiff anti-Ruto campaign in the lead-up to next year’s election, vowing not to relent in his fight against the President until he leaves office.
Rigathi Gachagua idea for what Kenya has to be is that tribal cocoon and his hope with William Ruto in 2022 was that A Kikuyu and Kalenjin coalition would rule Kenya forever and that got messed up when he was impeached after he killed so many Kenyans for President Ruto in 2023 Saba Saba actions from the Kenyan political legend Raila Amolo Odinga.
