The Azimio Movement has settled on consensus and direct nominations as the coalition party seek to front candidates in all elective positions in the August polls.
According to reports, President Uhuru and Raila Odinga have sought the services of a prominent pollster to conduct research to help in determining popular candidates across the country to fly the coalition’s flag in the August 9 General Election.
”In instances where we find a favourite candidate belongs to a different party, we will reach out to them. If we find that the person leading in the opinion poll is leaning towards UDA, we shall convince them to join us. We poach them and give them an offer to be our candidate,” ODM SG Edwin Sifuna told a local publication on Wednesday.

Last week, Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju confirmed the ruling party expects a number of defectors from UDA during its two-day national delegates conference to be held in Nairobi on the 25th and 26th of this month.
”Some of those who have been declaring allegiance elsewhere are also planning to come back. You saw Wangui Ngirichi (Kirinyaga Woman Rep) at State House and there are a few more expected to come back,” Tuju revealed.
