President Uhuru Kenyatta currently on a three-day working visit in Dubai is expected to make a tour of Mt Kenya counties the whole of next week, explaining to residents what the Jubilee Party has been able to achieve and the way forward for the ruling party.
According to sources familiar with goings-on around the tour, the Head of State will also tell his backyard why he and DP William Ruto fell out and why he prefers Raila Odinga to take over from him and not his deputy.
”He is going to speak to his Gikuyu, Embu, and Meru people with their language. It will go into their hearts. On Saturday he then endorses Raila Odinga at KICC after telling the mountain why he fell out with Ruto,” a source said.
Both Jubilee and ODM Parties have slated their National Delegates Conferences for February 25th and 26th this month, events which will go on concurrently and later culminate into a joint rally at the Nyayo National Stadium, attended by both President Uhuru and Raila Odinga.
