COTU boss Francis Atwoli on Monday afternoon said he is traveling to the UK and the US from Tuesday to debunk DP William Ruto’s lies during his trip to the two countries.
Speaking from his Kakamega county home Atwoli disclosed he will meet Kenyans in the diaspora and go in all areas the presumed United Democratic Alliance presidential hopeful has made in his overseas campaign trip.
”Wherever he’s gone I’ll be there! Atajua hajui! (He’ll realize he knows nothing). Nitachafua yeye! (I’ll smear him with mud). He’s the first DP after independence who is an open thief, a fearless thief!” Atwoli remarked.

While in London, DP Ruto said it was stupid for Francis Atwoli, who is the Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary-General, to oppose the regularisation of NHIF reforms.
”When we came into office, we had 3.8 million people contributing to NHIF. Everybody was contributing Sh320, just like the Sh200 of NSSF. We decided to adjust so that the people who earn more, can pay more…but we were taken to court by a stupid man called Atwoli, he is a very foolish person,” DP Ruto said.
