Sharp-tongued Kapsaret legislator Oscar Sudi is going after MPs from the Rift Valley region who have refused to join Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA, saying they will not tolerate the rebels in their camp and they are free to chart their own political paths. Sudi, a staunch ally of Ruto says MPs Joshua Kutuny (Cherangany), William Chepkut (Ainabkoi), Silas Tiren (Moiben), Alfred Keter (Nandi Hills), Swarrup Mishra (Kesses), and Uasin Gishu Senator Prof Margaret Kamar are Jubilee Party remnants in the region who should ‘shape in or shape out.’
”I urge our political nemesis in Rift Valley to either shape in or shape out. I wish to issue a political notice to the following leaders who are still remnants in Jubilee; Hon. Margaret Kamar, Hon. Swarrup Mishra, Hon. William Chepkut, Hon. Joshua Kutuny, Hon. Alfred Keter, Hon. Silas Tiren, Hon. Zedekiah Kiprop Buzeki and others. We shall not pay attention to your cheap propaganda to divide our community,” the legislator wrote.
Currently, UDA enjoys massive support in the Rift Valley region where its leader William Ruto comes from. However, the leaders mentioned by Oscar Sudi have refused to toe the line and join the UDA wave. The MP accuses their opponents of chest-thumping and deploying massive resources to fight the wheelbarrow party in 2022.
”I urge those who chest thump with alot of pride thinking they have enough money to buy anyone that stands on their way. I am talking of leaders with selfish and personal interests like Hon. Swarrup Mishra. They are however free to chart their own political path either by registering their own party or join other political affiliations. We currently live in a democratic society where every leader enjoys freedom of association. These remnants are free to join ODM, KANU, ANC, WIPER, FORD KENYA or stick with their party leader Uhuru Kenyatta. We cannot tolerate cheap threats, petty propaganda and malicious agendas in UDA,” he added.
