ODM leader Raila Odinga has responded to William Ruto’s frequent referral of Kenyans from the Lake region as ‘Watu wa kung’oa reli’, telling the DP the section of the rail which was vandalized in 2008 had been repaired and no vandalism has taken place again.

The ODM leader who was speaking Thursday during a private visit to the home of Erastus Okul at Komolo Lwala Village in Homabay county also trashed the Deputy President’s bottom-up narrative, terming it a mere lip-service aimed at deceiving Kenyans to vote him as president.

“Kuna watu wengine ambaye wanapinga sera zetu. Juzi wanasema ati watu watu waling’oa reli Kibera. Reli ambayo ilingolewa ilikuja baadaye ikarekebishwa,” the ODM leader said.

Odinga added.

The former prime minister who was accompanied by Homabay Woman Rep Gladys Wanga also took the opportunity to drum up support for his Azimio la Umoja Movement, saying it is capturing the aspirations of millions of Kenyans from every part of the country.
