The Ministry of Interior on Tuesday held a meeting with various stakeholders to resolve the prevalence of femicide cases in the country.
During the meeting led by Interior Principal Secretary (PS) Raymond Omollo, the ministry discussed effective measures and strategies to safeguard women and girls against potential predators.
The PS was accompanied by PS Betty Muganda and PS Anne Wangombe.
“Addressing the serious issue of femicide, where financial aspects often intertwine, we note most cases involve intimate partners or known individuals to the victims,” PS Omollo said.
