President William Ruto Has Real Problems. How Do Kenyans Get Rid of Him?

Archdiocese of Nairobi declines President Ruto’s Sh5 million donation to Soweto Catholic Church; says funds already received will be refunded

President William Ruto is in a complete political nightmare. He unleashed his loud mouths and useless politicians to attack Catholic Bishops who criticized his government for lying to Kenyans and running a terrible regime which is possibly the worst in Kenya’s history.

Ruto’s political dogs barked day and night and then William Ruto realized it was not working and all of a sudden, Ruto and his cohorts were saying all the kind and nice things they could think about religious groups in Kenya and attending church events everywhere in the country.

William Ruto then did what he is really been doing all his political life. He was ready to buy the church with public money.

On Sunday, November 17, 2024, the President donated Sh. 5.3 million to buy a house for a church leader and was also contributing tons of money for school kids in the church schools. Thankfully for the republic that trick is not working.

No, thank you, Catholic bishops reject Sh. 5.6 million donation from Ruto

The Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) has rejected a Sh. 5.6 million donation made by President William Ruto and Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja during their visit to Soweto Catholic Church on Sunday.

Metropolitan Archbishop Philip Anyolo, in a statement on Monday, said funds already received would be returned.

President Ruto had donated Sh600,000 to the choir and Sh2 million for the construction of the Father’s House, along with a promise of an additional Sh3 million and a parish bus. Governor Johnson Sakaja, on his part, contributed Sh200,000.

“Politicians are most welcome to attend Church for their spiritual nourishment, but they are encouraged to do so as ordinary Christians, without leveraging their political gain,” said Anyolo.

He stressed the importance of maintaining the Church’s neutrality to serve as a place for spiritual growth and community support, free from political influence.

“In light of these directives, and in adherence to the Public Fundraising Appeals Bill 2024 under Section 10(2), it is deemed that any person who solicits or receives money or a benefit conducts a fundraising appeal, regardless of whether the representation made was direct or indirect. Such fundraising appeals require a permit in accordance with the Bill,” Anyolo stated.

Jamhuri is speaking loudly and very kindly from so many voices. They are saying they know what is going on in their lives and their country. This kind of stuff has never happened in Kenyan history but it is good for the country.

The Anglican Church of Kenya also speaks for the country.

Anglican Church takes a stand on governance, calls for transparency

The Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) has broken its silence, issuing a statement addressing critical governance issues and expressing profound concern over the country’s state of affairs.

In remarks signed by Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit, the church reaffirmed its commitment to speaking truth to power and holding leaders accountable for their actions.

Responding to reports linking the ACK to government critics, the church clarified its position, emphasizing that it does not align with opposition voices but instead represents the realities faced by ordinary Kenyans.

“The church leaders have spoken the minds of many and expressed the truth about the situation on the ground. No amount of intimidation will deter the church from calling out evil and speaking the truth to power,” the statement declared.

The ACK urged government officials and the political elite to abandon arrogance and engage with citizens meaningfully.

And then there was this consolation to President Ruto from one of his pets, Johnson Sakaja, who is the Nairobi County Governor.

Speaking at St Anne and Joachim Catholic Church in Soweto on Sunday, Sakaja emphasised that Ruto had only been in office for two years.

The county chief said that previous presidents like the late Daniel Moi, late Mwai Kibaki, and Uhuru Kenyatta also took years to build their legacies, citing some roads that were constructed under their leadership.

“Let us be patient. We need to give Ruto time. He has only been president for two years. The late Mwai Kibaki built Thika Road in his fifth year. Expressway was built during retired president Uhuru Kenyatta’s ninth year,” he said.

Sakaja revealed that residents of Murang’a had been complaining about the Mau Mau Road, which had been non-existent for 60 years, pressuring the president to take action and have it constructed.

“I was in Murang’a recently and people were complaining about the Mau Mau Road.

“However, four presidents have come and gone without constructing the road but all the blame is now on Ruto after just two years. Is that really fair?

Personally I have known William Ruto since we were at the Nairobi University and he was a few years behind me.

He was nobody at the campus. I left the university straight to jail for one year, came back, finished my studies, and became a lecturer at Mombasa Polytechnic. I was arrested again after one year of work taken to Nyayo House Torture chambers and then to jail for 15 months and after that, I left the country and went to Tanzania as a refugee.

William Ruto left the university a few years after me and became Dictator Arap Moi’s right-hand man, which was his first job and he has been on that for more than 40 years. As a chief Moi’s thug, William Ruto and a few others were given access to the CBK to go and grab cash every day and use it to arm people to kill Kenyans fighting for democracy.

Ruto’s group known as YK92 was the first Mafia terrorist and theft organization in Kenya and Moi gave them everything they wanted including tons of money from the CBK and weapons to kill Kenyans.

William Ruto was a big part of the Moi dictatorship, a big part of the Kibaki government, and DP for Uhuru since 2013 for ten years. It is nonsensical to say that he has been in government for only two years as his little pet suggests.

William Ruto has been in Kenya’s government his entire adult life and has done horrible things during that period. Facts are stubborn things.

The real question is who can beat Ruto to the presidency in 2027? Right now there is nobody.

I saw a story about my good friend and a great Kenyan activist suggesting that even an injured monkey can beat Ruto to the presidency in 2027.

Facts on the ground suggest that even if William Ruto was a dead monkey he would win the Kenyan presidential elections in 2027 because he has nobody to fight against him for that job. Somebody is going to come up. Be afraid Mr. President. Be very afraid.

According to Miguna, Ruto’s popularity has declined in several regions as the country approaches the 2027 General Election, as a result, he may never be re-elected.

Despite Ruto’s efforts to woo Opposition strongholds by partnering with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and appointing ODM politicians to his Cabinet, Miguna doubts this strategy will gain him substantial support in Nyanza and Western regions.

“Ruto is so unpopular all over Kenya, that even an injured monkey would defeat him in an election.”

Can Kalonzo Musyoka beat William Ruto in 2027? No he can’t because he has no votes. If Kalonzo was honest he would run for the presidency with Eugene Wamalwa as his DP candidate because that guy has been with him all the way and Kenyans like Wamalwa but he has not votes. That would be a dead ticket. Kalonzo can run with Jeremiah Kioni as his DP which is another dead route. Rigathi Gachagua cannot even run for an MCA job after being impeached. His political job is over. Who next to face William Ruto?

What people like my friend Miguna Miguna don’t want to deal with is that even if William Ruto was an injured monkey he would win the elections because their is no credible opposition.

Here is what we need done right now. If Azimio leaders all have a public meeting where they put voter registration as the top issue for Kenyans and that the IEBC should be in place to do that for the next three years before the elections, Kenyans would love that.

Kenyans would support them overwhelmingly and President Ruto would accept that because voter registration is not a partisan issue. It is for all Kenyans including President Ruto supporters.

The good truth is 95% of those Gen Z Kenyans who cannot stand President Ruto would register to vote and that could be 6 million new voters and William Ruto is gone in 2027. Without new voter registration William Ruto will win the next elections. It is not rocket science.

The best thing for President Ruto now is that Azimio keep fighting about the IEBC for the next two years and there is no voter registration at all. Is that really what Kenya needs?

And here is the Kenya CS for Labour recruiting Kenyans for overseas jobs which don’t exist at all. It is insane and pretty sad for the country. The citizens know that already. One would think the job of the CS for Labour is to create jobs for Kenyans in their country. Not with this fake government of President William Ruto.

Details of national job recruitment programme

The government on Monday launched an ambitious national job recruitment programme aimed at creating overseas employment opportunities for skilled and semi-skilled Kenyans.

Labour and Social Protection CS Dr Alfred Mutua said the programme will officially start on Wednesday, November 20, in Machakos county at the Machakos Technical Institute for the Blind.

He spoke when he held an interactive meeting with local recruitment agents working in partnership with the government, where he revealed that phase one of the programme will offer 20,000 job opportunities abroad.
