‘Wacha niseme’: Girl’s emotional poem moves Ruto to tears

For one thing William Ruto is everywhere every day. The frightening part is that he doesn’t go to one place per day but instead it is ten different communities all the time and in each place something important to Kenyans is happening.
Today he was all over Bomet and one of the most beautiful things he did there was to hand over keys for 220 ready to occupy affordable housing to residents. Which other Kenyan president ever did that?
To see a young Kenyan woman get a key to her house at Chepalungu Boma Yangu Estate and it is not some mabati porojo of a house but pretty much a world class modern housing unit is not something Kenyans will take lightly because it is adorable to them and they are truly shocked that it is really happening and not just some political yelling for votes.
President Ruto gave out 220 new houses in Chepalungu and that is remarkable.
The first big question for the opposition who want to dismantle the affordable housing program which they claim is a stupid idea is what on earth are you going to do with these incredibly good houses Kenyans are getting and moving into as their new homes?
When is the last time anything like this happened in Kenya for the citizens since national independence 66 years ago?
If you are the raging opposition leaders in Kenya today, are you going to grab the keys from Kenyans in those homes before you tear them down and stop completing the ones under construction?
Maybe the opposition is going to be forced by reality in the middle of the campaigns next year to turn around and say the affordable housing program by President Ruto is fantastic and they will fully continue with it should they win the election and even make it bigger? Jeus Christ, what a bag of load the opposition will have to unpack just to try to catch up with President Ruto.

Then the little girl with her poem comes up as part of the w reality Kenyans including opposition fellows have to deal with in real life. The girl was lifted onto the roof of Ruto’s vehicle by his bodyguards, with the President also holding her as she climbed onto the open-roof platform.
As she settled beside him, Ruto warmly embraced her before turning to the crowd.
“Si tusikize hii poem ya huyu mrembo?” Ruto asked, drawing a loud “Yes!” from the crowd.
Ruto then leaned against his vehicle and handed the girl a microphone.
“Wapi tutam ya babu William ebu nione?” she began, prompting laughter from the crowd and the President himself.
Ruto gently embraced her as she prepared to continue.
“Wacha niseme,” the girl said before launching into the poem in Kalenjin.
In the poem, the girl urged Ruto to remain strong despite the criticism and political insults directed at him, telling him not to be intimidated, threatened or shaken.
She encouraged him to stand firm like the biblical King David and invoked God’s promise to prosper and give him hope.
She also referred to some of the names and chants directed at the President, including “Kasongo” and “Ruto must go”, before encouraging him to listen but let the criticism pass.
Here is what she said:
“Babu William, before I offer you a gift, let me recite for you a poem. Babu William, I have a word. Even though I am a young child, a word from a child carries great strength. Do not be intimidated, do not be threatened and do not be shaken. Even though you might be called names like Kasongo, one term, Ruto must go, and many others that you will be called, stay strong; listen with one ear and let it pass through the other. Stand firm like King David. God has good plans for you, plans to prosper, not to harm you, but to give you hope. Thank you, our leader who has been anointed.”
As she recited the poem, the girl became increasingly emotional and began crying, but continued with the performance as the crowd cheered her on.
At several points, she paused as emotions took over, only for cheers from the crowd to encourage her to continue.
Ruto smiled and repeatedly embraced the girl as she delivered the poem.
When she finished, Ruto held her in a gentle embrace before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a white handkerchief.
He wiped his eyes, appearing emotional, before using the same handkerchief to wipe the girl’s tears.
The two then exchanged a few words while Ruto smiled, prompting more cheers and laughter from the crowd.
Days before the Bomet events, President Ruto spent a whole lot of time in Kajiado and had a great time with Kenyans in Ongata Rongai doing what he does every day by following up on his government ongoing projects and having a great time with gazillions of folks just walking with him in the roads.
The upgraded network will improve access between Ongata Rongai, Ole Rai, Nkoroi and Kandisi and enhance connectivity to the SGR station.
It is also expected to support economic activity in the surrounding satellite towns.
Ruto also inspected works on the Gataka-Tumaini road, which will connect Gataka with Embulbul and Ongata Rongai.
The President said the road will be completed in two months, describing it as a game-changer in easing transport and boosting investment in the area.
From Bomet President Ruto is headed to Kericho and the whole neighbourhood for the next three days and then he is heading to Kisumu County down to Siaya, Homa Bay and Migori and other places for the next whole week and it will be the same thing he is doing reaching out to Kenyans with real solutions to the problems they are dealing with to get on with their lives.
How in hell does the opposition keep up and even pretend to compete with this crazy guy all over the country who works every minute except when he is sleeping at night. It is madness for them and most of them have to just contend with their twitter accounts and release endless statements there which they are the only people who read.
At least after sitting down for days as their boss was doing in the USA also on his twitter politics some opposition leaders will be out this weekend but how do they catch up with William Ruto.
Kalonzo, Sifuna hold ground with weekend rallies as Gachagua heads to Portland

In the media now, leading opposition figures will move out across different fronts this weekend as they seek to make it known that they are still in the race to get William Ruto out of office in 2027.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka intends to hold meet-the-people rallies in Garissa and Tana River on Saturday and Sunday respectively, while Linda Mwananchi leader Edwin Sifuna is scheduled to lead a mobilization tour in Nairobi on Sunday.
The separate engagements come as opposition leaders intensify efforts to build their political networks and strengthen their support bases ahead of their big battle with William Ruto in 2027.
Everything put together, President William Ruto has completely frightened the opposition and they know that in their heart of hearts. It is just a pure heart breaker for them politically and there is nothing anybody can do about that and it is too bad for those poor guys who want to go to State House. Maybe next time.

“Mr. William Ruto visited Bomet County yesterday to quell the public dissatisfaction that his lying and brutal regime had nothing for the residents and that he obtained their votes by false pretenses,” Gachagua said.
“There was not a single new national government project he could launch, commission, or inspect. He only shed tears about a young girl crying over the hardships her mother is facing.But who has deliberately caused these troubles and pain? Who has caused the tears on the young girl? Isn’t it Mr. William Ruto? So why was he crying pretentiously? Such tears will no longer move Kenyans into voting a wrong person!”
Gachagua also took issue with the President’s emotional reaction after interacting with a young girl who reportedly spoke about the economic hardships facing her family.
“But who has deliberately caused these troubles and pain? Who has caused the tears on the young girl? Isn’t it Mr. William Ruto?” Gachagua posed.
These opposition little boys are in a shock and nobody can blame them.
Looking at that kid and her poem from her heart is pretty moving for any normal human being but the likes of Gachagua come from a different planet and even there they have no hope. Very sad indeed. Let them stay there.
I have always argued that stupidity should have limits but in some cases like with this Gachagua fellow that may not be necessary because everybody can see what is in front of them.
