Panic as Parent Collapses, Dies while visiting Pupil in Siaya County

A parent who was visiting a school in Siaya County to assess his child’s performance has collapsed and died under mysterious circumstances creating panic.

The incident has been confirmed by Rarieda sub-county Director of Education Mr. Elija Adie who revealed that the incident happened on Friday evening at Pala Kobong’ Primary School.

For instance, the parent, 50-year-old Peter Owino is said to have arrived in school and was making his way to the teachers’ staff room when he collapsed and fell on the ground.

At this time, students were out for break and witnessed the whole ordeal. They then alerted the teachers who rushed to where the parent was, found him on the ground, unconscious.

Mr Owino’ body has since been taken to Madiany Hospital Morgue by police officers from Aram Police Station

It is not clear the cause of Mr Owino’s death although there are speculations that it is linked to the Covid-19 pandemic. Authorities are investigating the matter and clear information will be given on the same later.
