New wave of suspicion rocks Kenya Kwanza over Governors Kingi, Mutua

1 min read

A new wave of suspicion has rocked the Kenya Kwanza brigade over what some close allies of Kenya Kwanza flagbearer William Ruto describe as the questionable presence of PAA leader Amason Kingi and his Maendeleo Chap Chap counterpart Alfred Mutua.

A source who spoke to this publication on condition of anonymity says Amason Kingi and Alfred Mutua have been in constant communication with senior leaders in the Azimio camp, something that makes some members of William Ruto’s think tank believe the two leaders are Raila Odinga’s inside men in Kenya Kwanza.

”They never attack Raila directly or even mention his name during joint Kenya Kwanza rallies with William Ruto. The two leaders have been in constant communication with a senior ODM leader despite joining Kenya Kwanza and some feel there could be more than what meets the eye,” she said.

Along the corridors of power, there are whispers that Maendeleo Chap Chap leader is just buying his time in Kenya Kwanza and could most likely return to Azimio after Kalonzo Musyoka’s re-entry into the coalition.

On Monday, Azimio flagbearer Raila Odinga and Governor Amason Kingi met for almost an hour during the burial of Rabai MP William Kamoti. Amason Kingi has been accused by UDA members of slowing down William Ruto’s campaigns in Kilifi county by fighting MP Aisha Jumwa from the inside.
