Kenyans have heaped praises on Homabay Governor Gladys Wanga and the brains behind the county’s Mokwa Maize Floor, a fortified sifted maize meal exclusively produced in the county saying the move was a step towards the right direction in changing the lives of the electorate.

”I like this kind of competition this time, it will benefit the citizens of this country. Let the government be challenged in doing what it ought to do,” Kamau Bernadette noted.

Another Kenyan, Stephen Baraza also noted, ”Congratulations! We want to see more of this kind in the entire Nyanza Region. Our politics must now translate into nothing but rapid development.”

”Your Excellency Madam Governor Gladys, keep up the great work, Homa Bay County government to grow among others doing the same economically in the region,” John Makori said.

”Simply these are the kind of developments people want to see and now that the factory is officially there let farmers do their job by taking advantage of the little rainfall that may come so that the sustainability is there,” Rabai James wrote.

On Thursday, Azimio leader Raila Odinga presided over the opening of Kigoto Maize Milling plant in Suba South where the Mokwa Maize meal is produced.
