The deadline for resignations from government by those who plan to contest in the August election has seen anomalous resignations with energy CS Charles Keter leading the pack.

Keter resigned alongside other top Kalenjin government officials to join the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) of Deputy President William Samoei Ruto, a fellow Kalenjin.

The others are petroleum PS John Musonik, former Inspector General of Police and most recently Tourism CAS Joseph Boinett, Labour CAS Patrick Ntutu and Wildlife PS Fred Segor.
