Azimio la Umoja running mate Martha Karua has dared her opponents in Mt Kenya to face her head-on instead of paying a few goons to heckle and jeer her around the region while on tour.
Speaking in Embu during one of her campaign stops in the county on Thursday, the Narc-Kenya leader said despite tough economic time currently being witnessed, the Kenyan youth should not fall into the trap of being bought by leaders to push their division agenda among Kenyans.
”Ukiona mwanasiasa yeyote akituma wafuasi wake kupiga kelele kwa mkutano ya wenyewe, jua hao ni watu ambao hawana mwelekeoNajua kuna njaa na hatuna pesa, lakini msikombolewe na pesa kidogo kufanya kazi ya utoto; waambie wenye kukutuma waje kwangu wenyewe,” the Narc-Kenya leader said.
On Wednesday, a research by Trends and Insights Africa (TIFA) placed Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga popularity ahead at 39 percent after choosing Martha Karua as his running mate.
According to the study, Deputy President William Ruto whose running mate is Rigathi Gachagua trails Odinga who is the Azimio coalition Presidential candidate at 35 percent.
