It is end of the road for Wiper leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka following the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties’ decision to ask the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to reject the former vice president’s application to run for president this August.
The Wiper boss submitted his name to the electoral body on a day before he was interviewed for the position of running mate in Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party and later on May 16th unveiled his running mate for the top seat.

In her letter, Registrar Anne Nderitu says Kalonzo cannot run for the top job as Wiper is still a constituent party under the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party, which already has Raila Odinga as its torchbearer.
