Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has asked supporters of Raila Odinga in his county to elect him as governor, barely days after falling out with UDA runngmate Rigathi Gachgau.
Speaking on Friday in Kiambu, Kabogo, also the Wakenya Tujibebe Party leader seemed to have shifted his political allegiance after a wave of turmoil that also saw William Ruto publicly defend his uninspiring deputy.
”Na mimi naomba wafuasi wa Raila Odinga, ukipigia Raila Odinga, pigia gavana Kabogo,” the Tujibebe Party leader said.

However, On Saturday, Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua came out to face-off with Kabogo, who he has told to take his wars elesewhere, outside the Kenya Kwanza coalition. William Ruto’s runningmate also said Kabogo’s discomfort in the alliance was over the Kiambu race.
”The discomfort expressed by Kabogo has everything to with Kiambu, where he, Kuria and Wamatangi want to be governor. I cannot help any of them because I am not a Kiambu voter,” Gachagua told the Nation on Saturday.
”I can only advise my friend Kabogo to take his battles where they belong. I have no favourite candidate in Kiambu. I have no influence there as far as the governor seat is concerned. I am busy with the presidential campaigns,” he added.
